Ernesto Neto’s body of art can easily be associated with the traditions of other well-known Brazilian artists, Lygia Clark and Hélio Oiticica. The viewer becomes the participant in his large, room-sized membranous chamber works. To create an experience of sensorial body-consciousness, Neto manipulates space, light, sound, smell and texture, using only modest materials such as nylons, spices, and sand to do so.

Neto will be creating a major new work for his exhibition at SITE Santa Fe and showing a series of drawings and photos complimenting the exhibition.
