What do you think of when you see the color yellow? How do you feel when you see the color red? Refined Palette: A Show of Color was designed to explore the monochromatic use of color in art. The works in this show eliminated complexity by narrowing the focus on color. The artworks exemplified the simplicity of color in life. This limited medium allowed for the exploration of the finer and more subtle aspects of a piece. Refined Palette placed art on a more basic level where one could not rely on extra elements to convey a message.
