SUMMER IS COMING AND WE HAVE YOUR ART CALENDAR COVERED!
Join SITE Santa Fe throughout the summer for OFF-SITE ART Adventures.
This summer, you’re invited to join in a new series of intimate art adventures that could only happen in Santa Fe. Each event has been created with you in mind and to bring together collectors, artists, and art world luminaries to offer unique experiences of contemporary art.

JUNE
TUESDAY, JUNE 25, 6:30 pm
Armory Evening
Join us for dinner at the home of SITE’s Director Irene Hofmann and her husband, art dealer Max Protetch. Special guests will be Nicole Berry and Eliza Osborne, the new dynamic leadership of The Armory Art Show, who will share with us some of the secrets and behind-the-scenes goings on of the world of international art fairs.

JULY
WEDNESDAY, JULY 24, 5:30-8:30 pm – SOLD OUT
An Artist Studio Tour like no other!
Enter the extraordinary creative world of Tom Joyce, an internationally recognized sculptor and MacArthur Fellow known for his work in forged steel and cast-iron. Using skills and technology acquired through early training as a blacksmith, Joyce addresses the environmental, political, and social implications of using iron in his work. Joyce’s Santa Fe home
and studio offer a remarkable view not only into the artist’s creative process and latest works, but also his inspiration, as he shares a glimpse of his amazing collection of artifacts from around the world.
This special evening and BBQ dinner is co-hosted by Tom Joyce & Anne-Marie Bouttiaux and Christine & Bill Aylward.

AUGUST
MONDAY, AUGUST 5, 6:30 pm
An Al Fresco Dinner with Cori Ellison
Join us for dinner at the Tesuque home of Cornelia Bryer & Herman Siegelaar. Our special guest this evening will be the Santa Fe Opera’s new Dramaturg Cori Ellison. Previously, she was Dramaturg at the Glyndebourne Festival and the New York City Opera. She has presented talks and appeared on panels internationally including at the Santa Fe Opera, Metropolitan Opera Guild, Carnegie Hall, Royal Opera House, and Ireland’s Wexford Festival. She frequently appears as a commentator on the Metropolitan Opera’s radio broadcasts and is a regular contributor to publications including The New York Times, The Guardian, Opera News, and BBC Music. On this evening, Ellison will share some of the secrets of the Santa Fe Opera’s current season and offer her interpretations of the works featured in SITE’s exhibition Bel Canto.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 10, 10 am – 1 pm
An Unforgettable “Art Hike”
Over the past decade, collectors Jeanne & Mickey Klein have created an extraordinary art collection on their vast wooded property in the Sangre de Cristo foothills. In a rugged landscape of piñon trees and breathtaking views, the Kleins have commissioned some of the most prominent contemporary artists of our time to create significant new works in harmony with the land. Join Mickey and Jeanne as they take us on a morning hike to view this unique collection that features works by artists including Olafur Eliasson, Jason Middlebrook, and Paula Hayes, among others. The highlight of our hike will be visiting the many remarkable Andy Goldsworthy works that the artist has created on the Kleins’ land over the past 10 years.
Lunch will be served in the Klein house following our hike.

TUESDAY, AUGUST 20 & WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 21
Two nights at the Opera!
Take a break from the everyday with an opera vacation at the Four Sea- sons Resort, Rancho Encantado in Tesuque. On Tuesday, August 20, and Wednesday, August 21, you’ll stay in a King Casita for two at Encantado, with breakfast included at Terra, the resort’s award-winning restaurant (taxes and fees are included). Hike and relax during the day, and
then in the evening, head to the Santa Fe Opera. On Tuesday, you have Front Orchestra tickets to see Puccini’s classic La Bohème and on Wednesday, to see The Thirteenth Child, a world premier for the Santa Fe Opera. Included for these evenings is valet parking, access to the Opera Club, and you can take daily backstage opera tours!
Two nights in a King Casita with breakfast for two at the Four Seasons and two Front Orchestra tickets each for La Bohème (Aug 20) and The Thirteenth Child (Aug 21) with valet parking and access each night to The Opera Club.

A NEW YORK ART ADVENTURE
An Unforgettable Experience: Chawan Pottery Lesson with Tom Sachs
(Some time in the next 12 months)
One lucky adventurer will have the opportunity to join artist Tom Sachs for a pottery lesson! Tom Sachs will teach you to make a Japanese tea bowl (chawan) in his NYC studio. The lesson will include all materials, and your porcelain bowl will then be fired, glazed, and delivered to your home.

FAQ's
What is the address of the event I purchased tickets to?
Since these parties are hosted at private homes, the addresses will be emailed to all guests the week of the event and will not be published on SITE’s website.
What if I have special dietary needs?
Vegetarian and gluten free options are available with advance request. Please let us know of any food allergies.
I can no longer attend or changed my mind. Can I get a refund?
Upon purchase, tickets are non-refundable – please consider your ticket purchase a contribution to SITE Santa Fe, a 501(c)(3) non profit organization. If you can no longer attend and wish allow someone else to attend in your place, send a note to info@sitesantafe.org to let us know.
Is my ticket purchase tax deductible?
A portion of ticket purchases is a charitable donation and is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by the law. Our development department will distribute recognition letters itemizing tax-deductible portions for ticket purchases when the Off SITE Art Adventure series is complete.
Are there discounts for SITE Members?
Since all proceeds benefit SITE Santa Fe’s ongoing exhibitions, public programs, and education, we aren’t offering discounts for Members this time. But you might consider signing up for the entire series of four events available for $600. We appreciate your support!
