In partnership with New Mexicans to Prevent Gun Violence (NMPGV), RFK Charter School, and Southwestern Education Partner for Training (SWEPT), SITE SANTA FE presents a community tree-planting event with shovels forged from dismantled guns by artist Pedro Reyes and RFK High School students. Honoring lives lost to gun violence in Mexico and New Mexico, and acknowledging the closing of Pedro Reyes: DIRECT ACTION, the event will also feature live demonstrations of forging dismantled guns into gardening tools.
