Robert Gober

Year born:

1954

Location:

Wallingford, CT

Robert Gober’s sculptures transform everyday, domestic objects such as kitchen sinks, shoes, and cribs into haunting and disturbing images. Gober has stated that his sculptures are “memories remade, recombined, and filtered” through his current experiences, exploring complex themes such as childhood, home, and sexuality.
