Rebecca Horn

Rebecca Horn lives in Paris and teaches in Berlin. Born in Germany, she studied in Hamburg and in London, and has taught at the University of California and the California Institute of the Arts. She won the Documenta Preis in 1977 and the Carnegie Prize in 1988, and has exhibtied extensively in the United Sates, Europe, and Australia. In 1993, her work was the focus of a major retrospective at both brnaches of the Guggenheim Museum in New York. In addition to her work as a sculptor, she has made both perfomance-related and feature films.
