Sculptor, painter, performance artist, and set designer, Jörg Immendorff has produced a varied body of work over the course of his career. A significant departure from his dark, dense, and politically charged tableaux of the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, Immendorff’s most recent paintings employ creamy tones, spacious compositions, and imagery from the Commedia dell’arte.
