Arsen Savadov is a noted Ukrainian conceptualist photographer and painter of Armenian descent. He was born in 1962 in Kiev, to the family of Vladimir Savadov, a book illustrator, originally from Baku, Azerbaijan. He studied painting at the Shevchenko State Art School. A graduate of the Kiev Art Institute, Savadov splits his time between Kiev and New York City. A versatile artist during the course of his career, Savadov has utilized techniques of installation, performance, and photography.
