Born in Cheshire, England in 1956, Andy Goldsworthy is an internationally renowned artist who has been the recipient of numerous awards. He has exhibited regularly in Britain, France, and the United States, and has worked everywhere from gallery spaces in London, New York and San Francisco to the Australian desert, the mountains of Japan and even the North Pole. Although commissions take him all over the world, the landscape in Dumfriesshire, Scotland, where he currently resides, remains at the heart of his work.
