BACK TO ARTISTS

Andres Serrano

Andres Serrano was born and lives in New York. He studied at the Brooklyn Museum Art School, and works exclusively in photography. His work has appeared in solo and group exhibitions in the United States, Europe, and Japan, and is included in major museum and private collections.

"I’ve never called myself a photographer. I studied painting and sculpture and see myself as an artist with a camera. I learned everything I know about art from Marcel Duchamp who taught me that anything, including a photograph, could be a work of art."
