SITE Santa Fe Volunteer Opportunities
Concierge Volunteer Program:
To help us welcome audiences to our building, SITE has developed a new volunteer force to join our front lines as concierges.
SITE Concierges will add an important new dimension to SITE’s customer service, hospitality, and public face. SITE Concierges will offer support to the SITE staff on the floor each day by welcoming visitors, orienting them for their visit, providing information about membership, helping shoppers in the SITE store, and, for tourist visitors, providing advice about their visit to Santa Fe.
The ideal SITE Concierge is someone who is outgoing, has a passion for contemporary art, loves Santa Fe, and appreciates and understands the value of great customer service. Some of the activities during a shift might include: welcoming visitors and providing an overview of our exhibitions, contemporary art in general, and the new features of our building; assisting visitors in the SITE Store; and offering advice to tourist visitors about other activities, including restaurant recommendations, other museums or galleries to visit, and other advice about enjoying their time in Santa Fe.
The training program for our SITE Concierges will offer continuing education in contemporary art, SITE’s exhibitions and programs, and the highlights of Santa Fe’s tourist attractions and history. Training will additionally include customer service and hospitality best practices, SITE front desk operations, SITE store merchandise familiarity, and overview of SITE’s Membership program.
Concierge training will occur throughout the year in accordance with the openings of SITE shows. The position requires a commitment of one 3-4-hour shift per week. Full-time and part-time Santa Fe residents are encouraged to apply. Please send letter of interest to Josie Butler at email@example.com.
Public Programs and Events Volunteers:
The expansion and renovation of SITE has enabled us to offer a variety of programs and events in our new space. To help us set up, execute, and restore our space, SITE is offering volunteer opportunities to aid our staff before, during, and after these programs and events.
Public Programs and Events Volunteers are important and valued members of our team. They will assist SITE’s staff for various public programs, including Art Talks, Chatter performances, Innovative Thinker lectures, Digest This! talks, and Sound and Spectacle Performances. Volunteers will also be given the opportunity to help with various events held at SITE throughout the year, including gala dinners, show opening parties, SITE fundraising events, and more.
The ideal SITE Public Programs and Events Volunteer is someone who is personable, responsive, and able to volunteer on a monthly basis. We are looking for friendly individuals with a positive, can-do attitude who is willing to do a variety of tasks! Some of the activities during a shift might include: welcoming visitors at the front of the building or in SITE’s auditorium, setting up chairs and tables for programs or events, ushering and directing visitors, selling merchandise after certain programs, helping to serve food or beverages during certain programs, and assisting staff to clean and restore the events space.
SITE hopes to build a community of volunteers that we can rely on and who are happy and willing to participate on a monthly basis. Once volunteers have completed a short training, they will be presented with a monthly list of volunteer opportunities they can sign up for. This list will include a short description of the event, the tasks they are expected to assist with, and the necessary time commitment.
SITE is looking for Public Programs and Events Volunteers throughout the year and would be happy to hear from you! Full-time and part-time Santa Fe residents, as well as high school and college students, are encouraged to reach out. Please send a letter of interest to Josie Butler at firstname.lastname@example.org.
