In early 2013 SITE’s Education Department collaborated with the Santa Fe Youth Development Program on a project in which the teens created heart-shaped piñatas that were filled with handwritten, positive affirmations (instead of candy). This project was inspired by Linda Mary Montano’s exhibition at SITE, Linda Mary Montano: Always Creative. SITE was impressed by the teen’s enthusiasm for art, so a weekly art program was created.
