David Felberg and Luke Gullickson will play a rarely attempted piece by NYC-based composer Eric Wubbels — a duet for violin and piano called the children of fire come looking for fire. It was inspired by a specific moment in a piece by Johannes Brahms, and is a bit like looking at the Brahms cadence through an extremely powerful microscope, or shooting it through a particle accelerator. They will pair the Wubbels with Brahms’s G Major Violin Sonata. Featuring poet, Lauren Camp.
