Catalyst presented provocative new works by high school students from Santa Fe and beyond. The

Young Curators received an impressive outpouring of submissions, from which approximately 25

artists were selected. Catalyst asked artists to choose a piece of writing and make a visual work of

art in response to it. The submissions included written inspirations ranging from poems, song

lyrics, books, and quotes, both written by the artists themselves as well as by known authors. The

exhibition presented works in all media, including painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media,

and video pieces.
