A Project By Jenny Holzer

SITE is pleased to offer a special project with the artist Jenny Holzer, created specifically to benefit SITE Santa Fe. Recognized for her work in electronic LED signs, bronze plaques and stone benches, Holzer has designed a pair of carpets that combines language with functionality. Through a collaboration with design guru Todd Oldham, Holzer has explored a new medium for her artistic pursuit. This pair of carpets incorporates her well-known use of text, as in the words FEAR and YOW, in an elegant, darkly funny, and useful manner.

These carpets are part of a project conceived and designed by Jenny Holzer in collaboration with Todd Oldham Studio and Durkan Carpets, a division of Mohawk Industries, to benefit to SITE Santa Fe, a contemporary non-profit art space in Santa Fe, NM. The project consists of a limited run of six pairs of carpets, FEAR and YOW (2009-2010), each measuring 10' 6" x 6', nylon, (c) Jenny Holzer, which were produced for this purpose.
