Andy Goldsworthy

Four Corners

In his exhibition, utilizing all interior spaces, Goldsworthy will show a combination of photos and earthworks, including wall pieces made from the red clay of a Galisteo arroyo.

Talking about his approach to the artistic process, Goldsworthy says, “The ephemeral work that I do is a form of experimentation. Often I go out and don’t have any idea what I’m going to do. So I tend not to use tools, because I don’t know what I’m going to make, and I do love using my hands. But I’ve been working like this for 20 years, so every day I’ve gone out I’ve learned a little more about the materials, the places they come from.”

Andy Goldsworthy will present a collection of four new works for SITE SANTA FE that are based on his experiences during his recent residency in Galisteo, New Mexico sponsored by Santa Fe resident and President of SITE SANTA FE’s Board of Directors, Bobbie Foshay-Miller.
